Hands-On Background
Giving Furbabies the Spa Treatment Since 2018
Coats & Tails was established with a love for helping dogs look clean, fresh, and ready to show off. Our philosophy reflects what we want for every grooming visit: give pets the spa treatment from head to toe so they can leave looking their Sunday best and smelling amazing.
Over the years, we have continued to provide local dog owners with several ways to care for their pets. We understand that every dog has different needs, from routine grooming and shedding care to day care or boarding when their family needs to be away.
Locally Owned & Operated
Grooming, Boarding & More in One Place
Convenience matters when you have a busy schedule and a furbaby to care for. That is why we bring grooming, specialty treatments, boarding, day care, and self-service washing together at Coats & Tails.
Our pet grooming services are available for small, medium, and large dogs. We also offer deshedding treatments, flea and tick treatments, tooth brushing, nail clipping, and nail Dremel services.
When your plans take you away from home, our pet boarding options include dog day care, short-term boarding, and long-term boarding.
Prefer to tackle bath time yourself? Our self service dog wash station provides a convenient alternative to washing your pup at home.
You can find us at 1001 S Oak St., California, MO 65018. Our regular business hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. We are closed Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Having multiple pet care options in one location means you can choose what works for your dog and your day. Whether you need us to handle the grooming, care for your pup while you are away, or simply provide a place where you can handle bath time yourself, Coats & Tails is here for local dog owners.
